My Mustang has 182,000 miles. It’s never been taken apart. I have had it painted, new top, tires, radiator, springs, shocks, water pump, battery, upholstery, mufflers, exhaust pipes, windshield wipers and all the normal things 182,000 miles requires.

 

In the last eight years, the car has rarely left my garage.

 

Three months ago, I decided I would have to let her go. A personal illness has put my Mustang days behind me. I have been rehabbing her a little, getting her ready to meet a new owner. New wiring, instrument cluster, voltage regulator, solenoid relay, fuel pump, oil pump, cleaned the gas tank and oil pan, new hoses, steering wheel, a few little seals, gaskets and chrome pieces. All in all, she is a beauty. Not a polished show car, but a slick drive everyday piece of American automotive history.
